Adrenaline junkies join CWC Adventure Run
“It was really an adventure; full of obstacles and challenges but that’s the spice that keeps us on track,” Leonel Teoxon started sharing.

Finishing third in the race in the All Male Category, Teoxon and his other teammate, Aly Ojenar and Rogent Clores participated on the CamSur Adventure Run held on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

“We prepared for about four weeks. Other than jogging, we made sure that we are fit enough for the race because we know that this is not just a typical run wherein the speed is all that’s being measured. This is an adventure run and we made sure that we’re ready for this,” he added.

The participants ran a 7.5km-trail with 10 challenging obstacles to test the fittest team. There were three categories mainly All Male, All Female, and Mixed. Composed of three members, each team has to surpass various outdoor obstacles such as the CWC cross, inclined leap, rollers, boa constrictor, wood stock, bridge extreme, lago crossing, crawl wall crawl (CWC), tire balance, and balance beam.

“For our team, the CWC crossing was the most difficult part of the mud dash because it was the first obstacle and we had just started the race. We ran from the starting line to the wake park, and then swam to cross it. After, we ran again at the middle of the wake park then, cross it through swimming again. You see, it was the first obstacle but it is already exhausting.” Teoxon continued.

The CWC Adventure Run is a mud dash for a team of three venues in the CamSur WaterSports Complex, Cadlan, Pili. It was organized by the Ex-Tribe in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur through the CamSur Adventure. Other sponsors are the Wicked, Pacific Cross, Salomon, and Cobra.

After the race, the awarding ceremony was held at the Zeach Bar to name the first 3 teams for each category that had finished early the race and celebrate the success of the said event.

“We hope you enjoyed it but most importantly, we want to keep doing this once a year here. In fact, we’re already thinking other ways to make it more challenging and difficult. So, definitely watch out on the upcoming more interesting and exciting ways to keep running here in the province of CamSur” said Eric Imperio of the ExTribe Inc.
