CamSur PESO brings employment opportunities to Sipocot
The SK Federation and Local Government Unit of Sipocot, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur through the CamSur Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), conducted the Job and Business Fair on June 19, 2019 at the Activity Center, Municipal Compound, Sipocot, Camarines Sur.

With 13 local and overseas agencies, a total of 3,546 employment opportunities were opened. Around 198 job seekers attended the fair and 17 applicants were luckily hired on the spot. Meanwhile, 47 are almost done with the hiring process.

“Our aim in conducting this job fair is to bring more employment opportunities to the youth and job seekers residing in Sipocot and nearby municipalities. They said that we can tell that one place is successful and developing if there is a decrease in the unemployment rate,” shared Mary May Laoria, SK Federation President- Sipocot, during her closing remarks.

“I would want to express my gratitude on behalf of the SK Federation Sipocot because this job fair happened. I hope that there will be continuous support from the municipal and provincial government for these kinds of events,” she gratefully added.

The Job and Business Fair also served as a one-stop caravan. Not only did it bring employment opportunities closer to people, but it also provided services of local government agencies such as inquiry resolution for the services they offer and documents processing.

The government agencies present were the following: Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), PAG-IBIG Fund, Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and National Bureau Investigation (NBI).

CamSur PESO continuously visits municipalities and colleges for community and school-based job and business fairs to further help in bringing hope and uplifting the lives of Camarinenses.
