Biggest Reg’l Youth Entrepreneurship Congress in South Luzon held in CamSur
“This year, we are proud to announce that we have achieved the highest number of participants of the Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Congress (RYEC) in South Luzon!” said Jennifer Harris, chairperson of the 6th RYEC as she welcomed everyone in the event.

Over 2,000 young and aspiring entrepreneurs from different universities in the Bicol Region gathered for the 6th RYEC held by the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CSCCI) at The Tent, Avenue Plaza Hotel on September 6-7, 2019. The event was strongly supported by the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, in line with Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte’s aim to promote youth entrepreneurship.

“We take a big leap towards understanding the factors of achieving success in the business industry, particularly the relationship between passion and career. RYEC focused on exposing the youth to a wide range of entrepreneurial opportunities and equipping them with business skills to ignite their passion. Through this, they can contribute to the success of entrepreneurship,” added Harris.

With the theme, “Passion: the key to successful entrepreneurship, truth or myth?”, the two day-event aimed to unleash the participants’ passion as a tool for maximizing their potential as entrepreneurs. The talks, seminars, and forums held in the event was aimed at teaching the participants on how to turn their passion into profit and capitalize opportunities.

Success stories were also shared by many accomplished entrepreneurs: Keneth De Gracia, the Farm Director of Costales Nature Farm, Robert Louie De Guia, CEO of Dunsk Khuner Corporation, Dalareich Polot, the “Chocolate Princess of Bohol” and Founder of Ginto Fine Chocolate Corporation, Perry Camba, President of Securage Inc., Jude Buelva, Founder of Pandalivery, Dennis Ng, CEO of Mober, Atty. Marc Fabian Castrodes, CEO of Aretei Food Corportation, Josh Mahinay, Founder of Beagiver Ventures Inc., and Lloyd Luna, CEO of Lloyd Luna Company.

Lloyd Luna who started small and failed in his first three business attempts, is now a successful motivational speaker, author, and CEO of Lloyd Luna Company. During his talk, he shared, “Entrepreneurship is not about making money. It is about making your mission possible.”

Since millennials can relate to the dilemma between passion and practicality when choosing for a career, Robert Louie De Guia advised the participants to use passion for success to follow. “Always seek deeper meaning in whatever you do. Finding a career that you are truly passionate about can cultivate your talents, skills, and values. This will give you a sense of purpose and responsibility in creating a difference,” Guia said.
